How do i look after and maintain Toulouse painted furniture?

Our Toulouse painted furniture comes with a special anti scratch top layer to reduce the chances of it getting marked or scratched but it will still require some care to keep it in tip top condition.

Toulouse painted furniture should need little more than a light dusting with a dry duster from time to time.

AVOID getting water or other liquids on your Toulouse items.  If you have a spillage then soak up the liquid immediately to prevent it from soacking into the surfacewith a dry cloth or towel and avoid rubbing the surface.  A light dabbing should be sufficient to remove the liquid and then to allow the surface to dry naturally.  If the surface is rubbed then there is high risk that the paint finish may get damaged.

Always use coasters when placing cups or glasses onto the top of your furniture.

AVOID spraying any cleaning products or polishes on Toulouse furniture.

AVOID placing your Toulouse items near extreme heat such as a hot radiator or a very hot conservatory.

AVOID placing oil burners or tea lights on the top of Toulouse furniture as there is a high risk of damaging the painted finish if these spill onto the painted surface.  If you really want to use these then we recommend using some form of mats.

Some customers decide to purchase their own made to measure glass tops to place on the top of some Toulouse items to offer the ultimate protection.
